Wolves v Liverpool FA Cup Prediction – Preview
Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were able to salvage their campaign in the FA Cup after they held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw. Goncalo Guedes actually opened the scoring when he struck under Alisson’s legs on 26 minutes. However, the Reds turned it around shortly after the restart, only for Hwang Hee-chan to level again after Matheus Cunha did a one-two with him leading to the goal. A controversial decision on Toti’s late minute goal had manager Julian Lopetegui furious, after it was ruled for offside by VAR. Wolverhampton would then have contrasting fortunes, as they were knocked out in the EFL Cup quarterfinal by Nottingham Forest 1(3)-1(4), and winning against West Ham in the Premier League 1-0.
Liverpool survived a scare twice as they barely hung on to their FA Cup defence by a 2-2 draw. After falling behind early on, Trent Alexander-Arnold sent a cross toward Darwin Nuñez, wrong footing Matija Sarkic to level at the half. Mohamed Salah then completed the turnaround after receiving a pass from Cody Gakpo and left-footing the volley past Sarkic. The lead was short-lived as Wolves pulled through with an equaliser, and the Reds almost lost their title until VAR ruled Wolverhampton’s last goal as offside. Jurgen Klopp’s side would then absorb a third winless game in a row after they bowed to Brentford 1-3 in the EPL. With injuries to Nunez, Virgil Van Dijk and Roberto Firmino among others, the Reds face trouble again in their defence.

Wolves v Liverpool FA Cup Prediction – Final Thoughts
Wolves have their best chance yet to cause an upset and knock out the holders, in light of Liverpool’s injury woes. However, even with the home advantage, we do not see a convincing victory for the Molineux pack, lacking the tenacity of the more experienced Reds. In an exciting matchup for the country’s oldest trophy, the Merseysiders will just do enough to win and fight another day in the competition. Let’s take a look at the prediction.
