SG Poker Team Places 4th in Nations Cup (Sports News) – The Singapore Match Poker Team made history as they placed fourth overall in the International Federation of Match Poker (IFMP) Nations Cup, held last 23-27 May 2022 in Gevgelija, North Macedonia. The SG match poker team was headed by captain Lisa Tan Meiling, and was made up of the most talented match poker minds in Asia. The team consisted of Zefirelli, Phua Tzai Wei, Darren Wee Hee Joon, Lim Min Soon, Norbert Koh, Lim Min Soon, Ivan Tan, Keith Joel Seah Jia Qiang, Phyllis Chua, Feng Zhao and Lin Ruizi. Throughout the tournament, the team wore shirts sporting Singapore’s colours and the BetVision brand as they competed with the best in the world.

The Singapore Poker Team made waves in the preliminary round when they finished first overall. After 6 sessions in the opening stages, they had ended with 2876 total points, which sent them through to the finals.
After a total of 300 hands, the team finished with 1,060.6 points to get 4th place overall. This was still an impressive feat, as they were just 0.4 short of a podium finish, with third-placer Kazahkstan accumulating at total of 1061.0 points. Germany were the overall winners with 1110.8 points, while Israel were runners up with 1079.8 points.
