Ronaldo wins first game in Saudi (Sports News) – Despite not scoring a goal in his first game for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo helped out his team win in his debut. The Pro League team beat Al-Ettifaq 1-0, pushing them to the top of the league table and one point clear of arch rivals, Al-Hilal.

As the team captain, Ronaldo played the whole 90 minutes in his Riyadh debut, and was in top form, which is in sharp contrast to the 37-year old’s last stints in Manchester United and the Portugal national team. Al-Nassr were in front after only 30 minutes when Anderson Talisca fired them ahead.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner went into the box and leaped to tough Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem‘s cross. However, it missed Ronaldo’s head, going instead to Talisca who completed the strike home.

Indeed, the five-time UCL champion may get his first Saudi Pro League goal this week, as Al Nassr next faces Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup.
