Nottingham v Chelsea Prediction – Preview

Nottingham Forest F.C.

Nottingham Forest are currently in the relegation zone of the Premier League table. In their last league meeting, they fell 0-3 to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Welsh keeper Wayne Hennessey was unable to stop Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, who each netted in the first half. Willy Boly though he had cut down the lead, but a VAR check disallowed his goal for offside. Fred then completed the master class for the Red Devils in stoppage time. Manager Steve Cooper was disappointed, saying his side could do better. Another tall task lies ahead for them as they face another big 6 side in Chelsea. Are they up for it?

Chelsea F.C.

Chelsea are now seated 8th in the table, six points away from the top four with a game in hand. Their first league game after the World Cup break had them seeing off Bournemouth 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. At just 16 minutes, Kai Havertz fired from close range to break the deadlock. Mason Mount then doubled the lead with a curling shot from outside the box eight minutes later. The Blues almost added more goals, but Cherries keeper Mark Travers denied efforts from Mount, Reece James and Raheem Sterling. Manager Graham Potter was pleased with the win, and remarked that it was “a step forward” as they fight for a top 4 standing. Could they continue this form against the struggling Nottingham Forest?
