Mane signs with Bayern (Sports News) – After six years as one of Liverpool’s premier players, Sadio Mane is now moving from Merseyside to Bavaria. Reigning German champions Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with the Reds to sign the sensational Senegalese international.

The 30-year-old’s six-year stint with Liverpool seemed in dancer after Benfica star Darwin Nunez join the club in a deal worth 100 million euros.

Mane Signs With Bayern – Initial Fee Details

An anonymous source has disclosed that Liverpool has decided to pay a transfer fee with Bayern in a package estimated at 41 million euros. The person with the details of the Mane info disclosed it anonymously, since it wasn’t yet authorized due to awaiting completion at the moment.

The English club will get 32M euros upfront for Mane. Six million euros will go to the Reds if the star fulfills a specified appearance clause, and 3M euros additional for individual and team milestones.

Mane Signs With Bayern – History with Liverpool

Mane moved to Liverpool in 2016 from Southampton, just when Jurgen Klopp was starting his tenure as Reds boss. The player has been instrumental in Liverpool’s return to English football glory. He was part of the 2019 squad that won the UEFA Champions League trophy after a 15-year absence, and helped in bringing home its first ever Premier League trophy 28 years after the English First Division  was re-organised in 1992.

Other awards the 30-year old won with Liverpool are the 2019 Club World Cup, and this year’s FA Cup and EFL Cup. He netted 120 goals in 269 matches across all competitions with the Reds.

Prior to playing in the EPL, Mane also spent a year at Metz and two at Red Bull Sazlburg.

Mane Signs With Bayern – Also Shining for Norway

As a Senegal international, Mane has been capped 91 times. In the recent 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the 30-year-old helped his nation win the competition for the first time. The final against Egypt saw him pitted against teammate and EPL Golden Boot co-winner Mohamed Salah, and Mane scored the winning kick in the penalty shootout. He also was named player of the tournament after scoring three goals and two assists in the competition.

A few weeks later, Mane would once again knock out Salah and Egypt from World Cup contention. In the African qualifiers third round, he netted the clinching kick in another penalty shootout after a 1-1 aggregate draw sending Senegal to the Qatar 2022 meet.
