Manchester United are now seated 5th in the Premier League table with 15 points. Their last league outing saw them rally back to beat Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park. Alex Iwobi opened the scoring on just 5 minutes as he curled into the top corner. Ten minutes later, however, Anthony Martial set up Antony for a left-footed finished to make it level. The highlight, however, was when substitute Cristiano Ronaldo got the better of Seamus Coleman to left-foot in his historic 700th club goal. The Erik ten Hag-led side will then face Omonoia at Old Trafford for the Europa League and hope to make it a double against the Cypriot club. It will also be practise for the Red Devils as they try to go clear of the Magpies and inch closer to the league top four.

Newcastle United are seated behind Man Utd in the table, just short by a point. In their last outing, they thrashed Brentford 5-1 at St. James’ Park. After the Bees’ Bryan Mbeumo’s goal was disallowed when Ivan Toney was found offside, Bruno Guimaraes and Jacob Murphy each netted to give the Magpies a 2-0 lead at the half. Toney halfed the lead when he converted after Dan Burn handled the ball, but Guimaraes scored a second to restore the lead.
