Man City v Sheff Utd Prediction – Preview

Manchester City F.C.

Manchester City are looking to win their 7th FA Cup, last winning the tournament in 2019. They booked a ticket to Wembley by defeating Championship side Burnley 6-0 in the quarter-final at the Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland‘s hat-trick gave the Cityzens their first three goals, with Julian Alvarez later adding a brace, and Cole Palmer netting another one. The Pep Guardiola-led side are in top form, as they currently trail EPL leaders Arsenal by just four points. They are also just fresh off a quarter-final victory in the UEFA Champions League, seeing off Bayern Munich 4-1 on aggregate goals. With the squad in full health, can Man City take one step closer toward their first trophy this season?

Sheffield United F.C.

Sheffield United are looking to win their fifth-ever FA Cup, ending a nearly 100-year drought for the club. They punched their ticket to the semi-final by seeing off EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers, the official partner of BetVision. Rovers’ Ben Brereton Diaz opened the scoring from the spot on 21 minutes, but Sam Gallagher deflected into his own goal seven minutes later. In the second half, Sammie Szmodics restored the lead for Blackburn, but the Blades completed their comeback in the last 10 minutes with Oli McBurnie and Tommy Doyle each scoring. The Paul Heckingbottom-led side are currently seated second in the Championship, and have won their last two in the league. Their most victory came against Bristol City, 1-0, at Bramall Lane, with James McAtee scoring the lone goal. Could they be the David to Man City’s Goliath, and move on into the final?
