Everton hire Dyche as new boss (Sports News) – English top-flight club Everton have officially confirmed Sean Dyche as their new first team manager. The former Burnley boss has been appointed as the replacement of Frank Lampard, whose tenure was marked with an unremarkable showing by the team, and has put them in danger of relegation to the League Championship.
Everton Hire Dyche – Official Statement
Dyche signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Toffees. He inherits a 19th-placed team which are aiming to get out of relegation.
The 51-year-old Dyche is notoriously famous for a traditional approach to football. Everton fans are full of hope that his no-nonsense approach would help them avoid a humiliating relegation, and bring them back to becoming one of England’s most prestigious sides.
Everton Hire Dyche – Spells as Coach
After 18 years as a player, Dyche became part of the Watford coaching staff. He eventually became head coach in 2011/12. But while he led the Hornets to an 11th place in the Championship, only stayed as boss at Vicarage Road for one season.
He then went to Burnley, where he got the team promoted to the Premier League after one full season. And while they were relegated in 2014/15, Dyche guided them back into the top flight, where they stayed for five years before dropping out again in 2021/22. The 51-year-old was relieved by the Clarets in April 2022 in a last-minute effort before relagion.
