Brighton v Tottenham Match Prediction – Preview

Brighton & Hove Albion F.C.

Brighton & Hove Albion are currently seated 4th in the EPL table in a bright start to their season. Most recently, they held on to draw Big Six side Liverpool 3-3 at Anfield. Leandro Trossard did the improbable and netted two to give the visiting Seagulls the early lead. However, Roberto Firmino came through for the hosts and scored a pair to level the scoreline. A tragedy almost ensued when Adam Webster deflected into his net to give the Reds the lead. But Trossard left-footed in with just 7 minutes to play, for a hattrick and a point. New manager Roberto De Zerbi proved that he could carry on former Brighton boss Graham Potter’s legacy. Will he and his men come through again against Spurs?

Tottenham Hotspur F.C.

Tottenham Hotspur are currently seated third in the EPL table, three points clear of their upcoming opponents. They suffered a setback when they conceded the recent north London derby to Arsenal (1-2). The Gunners’ Thomas Partey opened the scoring, but Harry Kane then converted a penalty to put the visitors back on terms. Gabriel Jesus’ goal restored the lead after the break, and more woes would come for Spurs after Emerson Royal was sent off on 62 minutes. Granit Xhaka then buried Tottenham further when he netted 7 minutes later. The Antonio Conte-led side would be winless for the second straight game in all competitions as they were held to a scoreless draw by Eintracht Frankfurt in the UCL. Can they finally get back on form against the Seagulls?

Brighton v Tottenham Match Prediction – Final Thoughts

Brighton have exceeded expectations under Potter, but while De Zerbi helped salvage a draw against Liverpool, he has yet to provide continuity. Meanwhile, even with Tottenham’s struggles as of late, they are heading into this match as favourites. Leave it to Conte to conjure up a masterclass after two underwhelming Spurs outings for a decent away win.  With that, let’s take a look at our predictions.
